Terms & Conditions

On registering for the LAT Trading Programme, I acknowledge that I have read, understood and agree to abide the full (i) LAT Terms and Conditions and (ii) IA Terms and Conditions.


1. Student Warranties 

a) The student warrants that all documents and information supplied are true, authentic and correct.

b) Where the student has supplied incorrect, fraudulent or misleading information, the student will automatically be withdrawn from the course and will not be entitled to a refund of any fees paid.

2. Code of Conduct

Students are expected to conduct themselves, at all times, in a manner which demonstrates respect for LAT staff, fellow students, members of the public and LAT Property. Breaches of the student code of conduct may constitute gross misconduct, which may lead to expulsion from the course.

3. Withdrawal


a) The student agrees that he/she cannot change, defer or withdraw from the programme without prior consent from LAT. Any failure to start the course as scheduled, without prior notification to the LAT team, will lead to expulsion from the course. No refunds will be given.
b) Where a student has withdrawn from the programme without prior consent, LAT reserve the right to pursue the student for outstanding fees.

4. Exclusion


To the extent permitted by law, we, other members of our group of companies and associated parties exclude all conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity.

5. Registration on Course


Registration on the course constitutes registration as a student with LAT and/or IA. Students agree to be bound by LAT and/or IA Code of Conduct (clause 2) and Terms and Conditions of Registration.

6. Refund Policy - Student Default

a) If a student withdraws from any of our courses more than 14 days before commencement of the course he/she is entitled to a full refund less 15% processing fee. Any refunds will be processed within 45 days of claim.
b) 50% refund will be given to any student who withdraws up to 14 days before the commencement of the course.
c) No refund will be given to any student who withdraws after commencement of the course. Once a delegate has signed their student enrolment form and commenced their given programme they are obliged to pay their tuition fees in full according to their instalment plan.
d) If a student defers their course, the right to submit an application for a refund is waived. Where a student has deferred their course, and subsequently fails or attempts to withdraw from the course, no refunds will be provided save in exceptional circumstances. The Refunds Committee has sole discretion in determining whether or not student’s circumstances are exceptional.
e) Any refunds awarded in respect of this clause will be processed within 45 working days of the claim.

7. Data Protection

Your enrolment on a course of study requires sharing of personal information about you (including “Sensitive Personal Information”) between LAT and IA. You give your express permission for the sharing of information for the purposes of managing your application, enrolment, academic achievement, fees management and related activities. All information will be held and processed in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.

8. Confidentiality

You shall not, except as authorised by LAT, divulge to any persons, firm, company or other organisation whatsoever at any time any confidential information belonging to LAT or relating to its affairs or dealings which may come to your knowledge during your association with LAT. All papers are considered to be confidential, together with any copies or extracts thereof, made or acquired by you in the course of your time with LAT.

9. Regular Updates


LAT and IA Terms and Conditions are subject to change. We communicate changes through updates to our websites. It is advisable to regularly check for updates.

Offers & Bursaries

The London Academy of Trading (“LAT”) Refer-a-Friend Scheme is a referral programme that enables individuals to earn financial rewards for introducing friends to LAT courses. To qualify, the following Terms and Conditions need to be satisfied.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Definitions:
    1. “You” are the referrer.
    2. The “Friend” is your friend who you are introducing.
  2. For each Friend You wish to refer, You need to complete a REFER-A-FRIEND REGISTRATION/CLAIM FORM (see Appendix A below).
  3. Providing the Friend is not already in discussion with LAT Sales Advisors regarding an LAT course, this will be considered as an “Eligible Referral”. In certain circumstances, this clause may be over-ridden at the discretion of LAT senior management.
  4. For all Eligible Referrals, the Friend will qualify for a 10% discount on their course fees, or any other discount currently on offer. Note that discounts cannot be combined.
  5. As soon as the following conditions are met, You will qualify for a payment of 10% (excluding VAT and accreditation fees if applicable) of the LAT course fee paid by the Friend (the “Reward”).
    1. All of your LAT course fees have been paid in full (if applicable).
    2. All of the Friend’s course fees have been paid in full for their chosen LAT course.
  6. The Reward payment will be made to your chosen bank account, with bank account details as instructed by You in the REFER-A-FRIEND REGISTRATION/CLAIM FORM.
  7. You may introduce multiple Friends and each Eligible Referral will qualify for the Reward.
  8. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
  9. For each Eligible Referral, the payment will be calculated from the Friend’s initial LAT course fee and any subsequent purchases made by the Friend will not qualify for additional Rewards.

Please note that these Terms and Conditions may be updated at any time and any changes will be posted on the LAT website and once posted, they will become effective.

  1. Scholarship applicants must apply for a scholarship at the same time as, or subsequent to, applying for a programme with LAT.
  2. All information provided in the application form will be considered when applying for the LAT Scholarships Scheme.
  3. The scholarship amount is awarded at LAT’s discretion and constitutes a reduction in tuition fees payable to LAT.
  4. Please note that you can apply for only ONE bursary or scholarship.
  5. The scholarship cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer/discount.
  6. All the remaining fees must be paid 30 days before the start of the programme.
  7. If you intend to postpone your place until the following intake, you will need to pay the remaining tuition You will be permitted to do so only at the discretion of LAT.
  8. The scholarship is not transferable to another student.
  9. In the event that a student does not attend a programme through serious unforeseen circumstances (death, accident, or serious illness) a specific committee will examine each case on an individual basis.
  10. Any failure to start the course as scheduled without prior notification of the School’s authorities will lead to scholarship withdrawal.
  11. The scholarship is for the ONE named person and LAT will not be responsible for a scholar’s family members/spouse/children etc.
  12. LAT may also use information collected regarding the students in the School’s marketing activities; however, students’ addresses and telephone numbers will not be given out without permission from the student via a request from LAT.
  13. LAT may feature your interview/photo/profile/story on the LAT website and/or other School publications and will ask for your permission/approval prior to publishing this.
  14. Please note that when requested scholars are required to show originals (not photocopies) of transcripts and documents submitted in evidence with their scholarship application, and present these to the Scholarship office, if there is any question of If LAT discovers any documents that are NOT 100% genuine, the scholarship award will immediately be invalidated and withdrawn. The School accepts NO liability in this case.
  15. It is the student’s responsibility to set a good example, g. strive for best results, attend classes, finish the course on time and continue to demonstrate the exemplary student attributes/grades by which he/she was awarded the scholarship.
  16. By invitation only, scholars will take part in welcoming new students to the scholarship
  17. The LAT Scholarship panel will not provide information regarding the non-awarding of scholarships and the panel’s decision is final.
  18. The School reserves the right to investigate and possibly withdraw a person from the scholarship programme if there is adequate proven evidence of serious allegations of illegal activities.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. The scholarship is applicable for 30% towards the course fees of any course offered by the London Academy of Trading.
  2. To qualify for the scholarship, the applicant must be able to present evidence of one of the following documents.
    1. A current Blue Light Card
    2. An acceptable form of identification document to show proof of work for the emergency services, NHS or social sector.
    3. A valid Refugee/Asylum Seeker (including the Ukraine Family Scheme Visa) BRP (Biometric Residence Permit)
    4. Evidence of registration as a jobseeker with Jobcentre Plus, the Jobs and Benefits Office or Social Security Office (such as a letter from the relevant office and/or proof of receipt of relevant benefits)
    5. An acceptable form of identification document to show proof of past or present military status
  3. The individual’s name on the presented document must match exactly with the name of the person applying for the scholarship.
  4. The application for the scholarship must be made when applying for the chosen LAT course.
  5. Please note that you can only apply for one scholarship.
  6. The scholarship is not transferable to another student.
  7. The scholarship cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer/discount or promotion.
  8. Course fees must be paid in full at least 7 days before the start date of your chosen course.
  9. LAT will obtain your permission prior to publishing any interview/photo including you on the LAT website or other social media outlet.

Terms and Conditions:

If you qualify to participate in a Funded Trader Audition and you choose to accept an invitation to participate (and there is no obligation to participate) the following conditions in this clause 5 will apply.

You will be provided with a coupon without charge, funded by LAT, to enable you to participate in a Funded Trader Audition which will be organised and provided by a third-party commercial organisation such as “SurgeTrader” (although other programs may be used).

When you participate in this activity, you will be responsible for your own decisions and will do so on your own account and at your own risk. You must comply with any terms and conditions imposed by the funding company. Neither LAT nor you will be liable to the other for any loss of the amount of the coupon in relation to your participation in the Audition and LAT shall not be liable for any failure by you to achieve the required Audition trading targets.

You must notify LAT of any issues with the Audition as soon as possible and in any event within 1 week of the issue arising. Unless you notify LAT in accordance with this clause, LAT shall have no liability for that issue. LAT shall not be liable for any avoidable loss which you could have avoided by taking reasonable action.

LAT shall not be liable for costs, expenses and trading losses incurred by you if you decide to participate further following the completion of your initial Funded Trader Audition, including where you pass any auditions or enter any schemes or phases offered by the third -party organisation.

Nothing in this agreement limits any liability which cannot legally be limited by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You have the right to cancel any participation in the Funded Trader Audition without reason for 14 days after the decision to participate, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. You can exercise this right until you begin to take part in the Funded Trader Audition, but once you enrol or start, you will not be able to cancel.
